Stain Tip:

Cleaning Red Wine Spills

Mix one tablespoon of mild carpet detergent (Dawn liquid soap works best), 1/3 cup of white vinegar and 2/3 cup water. Remove excess material from carpet by absorbing liquids and scraping semi-solids. Apply solution. Blot the carpet and gently brush the pile. Apply many layers of toweling over the affected area. Weigh down. Leave until dry.

Pet Odor and Stain Removal

Even the smallest amount of urine contamination soaks into the carpet backing and pad. The warm temperature and gravity can promote soaking all the way to the sub floor. The following is our procedure for getting rid of all your pet stain trouble spots:

1. We will begin with a thorough inspection of your carpet for contamination using a UV detection light. The UV light assists us in finding all of the urine spots in your carpet. The residues left behind by your pets will fluoresce in the dark and we will mark the contaminated area’s to treat.
  2. We will then treat the yellow stained areas with "OSR" pet deodorant and stain remover that will need dwell time for 25-30 minutes.
3. Stain is then extracted with our sub-surface Water Claw. Stain cannot be extracted properly any other way other than removing carpet and pulling the pad.
  4. Now that the spot remover has had time to work we will treat the problem stains with Urine Stain Remover. Carpet is then groomed to ensure that all fibers are coated and the oxygenation process can begin.

Note: There are many other types of stains that we have been successful in getting out using a number of different procedures. Examples are:

  • Wine (red and white)
  • Urine
  • Kool-Aid and other red juices
  • Mustard and BBQ sauce
  • Ink
  • Blood
  • Coffee
  • Furniture stains (Cherry wood)
  • Rust
  • Wax
  • And many more…

All of these stains will not come out in the normal carpet cleaning process. They require special attention and chemicals for the successful removal of these stains. In certain instances, these will be difficult to remove with 100% certainty. Extra charges are incurred for attempted removal of these spots.
